About Jen

At the heart of my all, I have a deep curiosity and an appetite for going down intellectual rabbit holes.

I’ve been coaching and editing writers’ content since 2013, and I’m currently working as the editor at Community Impact Newspaper’s Katy edition. I’ve held this position since October 2018.

Previously, I worked as the web producer for Houston Business Journal and the Columbia Missourian newspaper in a variety of positions: copy editor, community outreach and engagement reporter, general assignment reporter and print designer. I also spent a few months writing for PolitiFact’s Missouri bureau.

My skills include copy editing, writing and packaging stories with photos, graphics and maps to visually represent a concept

I grew up in Rogers, Arkansas, and graduated with my master’s degree in in journalism in December 2017 from the University of Missouri. I have a bachelor’s degree in English.
